The delegations visited 33 foreign capitals along with the European Union. The purpose of these visits was to make clear to the world India's strong response to Pakistan-sponsored terrorism and Operation Sindoor. India's position was heard seriously by the international community through these high-level meetings held abroad.
Members of Parliament from across the political spectrum, including ruling and opposition parties, were part of the delegations. Of the total seven delegations, four were led by MPs from BJP, JDU, and Shiv Sena, while three were led by MPs from Congress, DMK, and NCP (Sharad Pawar faction). This sent a message that there is national unity on India's foreign policy and security.
According to sources, during the meeting, all the representatives informed the Prime Minister that most countries appreciated India's peaceful but firm stance. Especially in Europe and America, India's policy against terrorism got clear support.
Earlier, Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar had met the delegations personally and praised these efforts and said that these visits have been effective in strengthening India's stand at the right time and at the right places.
This dinner invited by Prime Minister Modi, is not just a formal event but also a platform to further strengthen the political consensus and understanding on India's foreign policy. While the delegates shared the support they received abroad, PM Modi also shared hints of India's future strategy.
